Gratitude

I had an online conversation with a woman last night who, like me, is a single mom with MS. Unlike me, she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer on top of and unrelated to the MS. She has been given less than a year to live. Her attitude is: I'm already living my life how I want to and I have no time to focus on dying. She has decided to focus on living instead. I really have no right to complain.

  1. Remember the woman who volunteers at the library, that I had told you has had MS for many many years and I've never seen her in a wheelchair. She also has survived 2 rounds of cancer and is most recently dating this guy and is cruising all around with him on his motorcycle having the time of her life. Now, after not only surviving, but thriving, her adult kids (doctors and lawyer) are lecturing their mother on the dangers of motorcycles, can you believe it?! -lj
